Latest update for my project to provide an open source design for a BusKill cable. Status In my last update, I shared the instructional video I created that will be part 1/2 videos that show the decoupler’s assembly. The decoupler created while filming the instructional video had a connection that was too weak. I wasn’tContinue reading “BusKill USB-A Decoupler V3 Build and Demo”
Flame Festival 2024
Ok, I have had a few days of rest and it is now time to write down some words about my Flame Festival experience. As mentioned in my previous post, Flame Festival is a 4-day event where fire performers, teachers, students, and enthusiasts gather for workshops. A lot of things went wrong in my prep,Continue reading “Flame Festival 2024”
Flame Festival Prep
Flame Festival is a very cool event where fire performers, teachers, students, and enthusiasts gather for workshops, camping for 4 days in the woods. This year it is in Washington, GA. Currently, I primarily do amateur performances at a mostly fun low-skill level. Admittedly, I’ve been focusing on other things more. However, I aspire toContinue reading “Flame Festival Prep”
Bad Bitch Skate Club Night
Went to a fun event at Grant Park in Atlanta where attendees were encouraged to experiment with using flow props while roller skating. Specifically hula hoops, but I brought my poi and contact staff as well. The group hosting it “Bad Bitch Skate Club” meets in multiple areas across Atlanta, including the belt line. They’reContinue reading “Bad Bitch Skate Club Night”
Video Summarizers are cool
There are tools now that summarize videos pretty well and are available to try out. I decided to try out two. Summarize.tech Summarize.tech provides time stamped text summaries in a simple interface. It seems to do better with videos shorter than 30 minutes. I’ve tried 60 min videos and the summary never completes. You’re allowedContinue reading “Video Summarizers are cool”
Part I/2 BusKill Video Assembly Instructions
I’ve finally edited and posted the first part of BusKill assembly instructions to YouTube. These instructions cover assembling the breakaway side of the usb-a magnetic coupler. For those just tuning in, a BusKill cable is used with BusKill software to automatically trigger a security action when a USB ejection event is detected. The security actionContinue reading “Part I/2 BusKill Video Assembly Instructions”
Award Winning “The Undead” vegan chili
My #vegan chili “The Undead” won the #chili cookoff competition at work!! How cool is that 😃 People said mine had the biggest kick and that they enjoyed that the spice profile was complex and hit all the notes instead of just being super hot. I forgot to take a picture until after many peopleContinue reading “Award Winning “The Undead” vegan chili”
Waxing Crescent September Update
Lately, I’ve been hard at work doing landscaping. My city ticketed me almost 800 dollars for some minor missteps, so I’ve felt a need to quickly become completely compliant with the strictest interpretations of their regulations. This is a huge financial blow to me, especially as I’ve already felt the crunch that we’re all dealingContinue reading “Waxing Crescent September Update”
What I’m listening to 8/27
Many of these tunes I found from 10 pm to 4 am in a YouTube music videospree. I really enjoyed the sound of the music, its abstract lyrics, and the pairing with the delightfully funky and psychedelic illustration. I am now obsessed with all Trampsta’s music and music videos. The editing is wild. I actuallyContinue reading “What I’m listening to 8/27”
V-egg Spice
Simple little spice mix I made that I’m callin’ V-egg spice. Sprinkle it on avocado toast or mung bean omelettes to add breakfast flavor. The black salt provides a unique sulfuric umami flavor and the turmeric adds color.
