Went to a fun event at Grant Park in Atlanta where attendees were encouraged to experiment with using flow props while roller skating. Specifically hula hoops, but I brought my poi and contact staff as well. The group hosting it “Bad Bitch Skate Club” meets in multiple areas across Atlanta, including the belt line. They’re a very welcoming group and you can find them on Instagram as @badbitchskateclub.
This is one of the first events I’ve taken my Insta360 camera [affiliate link]. I wish I had overcome my shyness to ask to film more of the event, but I captured my friends and the goings on in the background. I learned a lot more about the editing features on this camera, but there is still more to learn.
I think contact staff and skates are going to be a very fun combo as soon as I nail down the fundamental moves and I look forward to continuing to experiment at future events.
